School Testimonials:
Mr.
Frazer,
I'd like to thank you again for the wonderful experience that your visit with
Qadesh provided for our students at Gibson School in June of this year (2002).
It
was a special opportunity for the children to have close contact with Qadesh and
to learn important messages about endangered species and environmental
responsibilities. Every child in the two classes involved was able to
"snuggle" with Qadesh. The staff and students felt comfortable at all
times due to Qadesh's gentle manner and to your skills. It is obvious that
Qadesh has spent her life in a caring environment with responsible and
knowledgeable attention. I have attached a photo taken during the visit.
You
may use the photo and all or part of this correspondence in your web site if you
wish.

Dear Mr. Frazer,
Thank
you for the excellent learning experience you have given the boys and girls of
Westway Junior School.
Your
talk about tigers and the environment was both interesting and instructive. The
presence of your tiger Qadesh made the learning experience truly unique. The
children enjoyed your presentation and learned a great del. While there is a
significant amount of learning about animals that can take place with
information from a textbook or by going to the zoo, this particular experience
was much more realistic.
Again on behalf of the
students and staff at Westway thank you for an excellent presentation.
Sincerely,
C. H.

Re: Visit of Qadesh and Bill Frazer to LCI
Approximately 450 students and staff of the
Lethbridge Collegiate Institute were fortunate to have had a very informative
and educational opportunity on the afternoon of May 9,
when Bill Frazer brought his Siberian Tiger Qadesh to this high school.
The short program, approximately 25 - 30
minutes, focused upon the Siberian Tiger as
an endangered species. Information about the tiger species, and its traits
and habits, and its risk of extinction in the wilds in the very near future
were presented in a very coherent and interesting manner by
Mr. Frazer. Our students thought that the
presentation was extremely well done, and many positive
comments were made afterwards by our teachers who were present. Both
students and staff also had the chance to touch and pet Qadesh after Bill
Frazer’s presentation -- and they found this huge animal to be very gentle
and affectionate.
Several of our courses in science and
social studies deal with topics related to the
environment and, specifically, to endangered species. As well, much information
about the Tiger species itself had direct relevance to the study of
biology. Even though short, the program provided a wealth of information
related to these areas.
We at LCI would like to thank Qadesh’s
owner Bill Frazer, for making this presentation
available to us —— it was well worth seeing.
Sincerely, Mitch

Dear Bill Frazer:
I wish to express my thanks for the
presentation you made at the Lethbridge Christian School on May 11.
What an invaluable learning experience for
adults and children alike. The explanations you provided were interesting
and knowledgeable. Well done, in terms of an educational lesson plan.
You offer such a unique method to deliver
your message of concern for tigers in the wild. What better way than to
provide a personal experience with such an
animal? To give us an opportunity to touch a very real Siberian Tiger
clearly brings each of us a little closer to understanding tigers. It is an
even more powerful lesson in that Qadesh is not
"trained" as such. She doesn’t
dazzle her audience by clever movements or circus tricks, only by her very
being.
Thank you for making this learning
available for the children with whom I work.
Sincerely, Toni
C. Zobell, Harbour House School Teacher
