PAST BOOKING INFORMATION (Please Click on Thumbnail Photos to Enlarge) Kinds Of Events: The gorgeous Siberian tiger Qadesh
This, of course, achieves our private agenda: to 'sensitize' people to what is happening not only to these magnificent creatures, but to many, many other species as well, both in the wild where their very existence is being threatened, and in captivity where they are doomed to being locked behind bars from birth until death, denied any stimulation or variety in their lives, suffocating in boredom; literally 'bored to death'. Qadesh was never in a cage in her life. She was never drugged, never beaten - just loved; and she returned that love ten-fold to any and all that approached her. Agendas for various events: For all events Qadesh and I We will usually spent about 20 to 30 minutes communicating the information touched upon in Qadesh's 'Bio', and a further 10 minutes or so answering questions. For Schools: For Corporate Events:
such as Golf Tournaments, Ski Resorts, and functions such as the Bridal Show in
the Metro Toronto Convention Centre For Weddings:
Qadesh usually acted as 'Honour Guard' to the bride and groom, escorting them
into the reception dinner and onto the dance floor where she posed for some
photos with them For Private Parties: after arriving in her Limousine Qadesh liked to enter your home, sprawl out on the sofa, and pose for pictures with you and your guests. Many people actually arranged 'Meet Qadesh' house parties as a way to support her cause and give their friends a unique experience that they speak of vividly for years, if not for the rest off their lives, as their most moving and truly unique experience ever! We did suggest that you have anyone allergic to cats take an anti-histamine such as Benadryl before Qadesh's arrival, and discouraged anyone from using strong perfumes or colognes unless they wish to be slobbered upon by an overly amorous giant pussy-cat! (If you wished to keep Qadesh's arrival a surprise - not an uncommon desire - these considerations were not a problem; I addressed them once we were present).
Fees: The minimum fee for any appearance was $300, and this included three 'person/picture/poses' (that is, a person or persons posing with Qadesh for a picture). We used both Digital and Polaroid cameras - the Digital takes very high quality shots that we posted on the 'Friends of Qadesh' Web Page from where they could (and can) be downloaded, and the Polaroid provides a very large primary image (the size of seven 35mm negatives) which lends themselves to enlargement (in the way that a professional, large format camera does), and they are available instantly so that you can confirm their quality then and there. We have had no difficulty in scanning and enlarging the Polaroid to at least 8" x 10", and have achieved what we believe to still be acceptable results up to 11" x 17". You were welcome to take pictures or video at the same time, but for each person or group of persons that posed with Qadesh for a picture there was a charge of $20, unless it was one of the three included in the $300 fee, or one of the ten photos included in the $400 'volume discount' package, or one of the twenty photos included in the $500 package. For thirty or more pictures we waived the appearance fee entirely, and simply charged $20 per photo. The usual minimum fee for a 'commercial' or 'corporate' appearance was $500, but was negotiable appropriate to circumstance, so we invited interested parties to please call with, and for, particulars. Other than the $20 fee charged for individual photos, taxes were extra. There was a $50 surcharge when any scheduled appearance time was delayed for more than 30 minutes, and $1.50 per minute thereafter. A similar rate was levied for traveling time beyond 30 minutes each way, calculated from the intersection of Highways 400 and 401. For Charities, Fund Raisers, Schools and Day Care Centres - yes, she went to Day Cares, and Christmas Parties for the YMCA, and picnics for the Easter Seals children, and many Fund Raisers for Hospitals and Charities like the Myelin Foundation, United Way, Children's Help Line, and Animal Welfare Groups such as Ride4Pets and Canine Vision Canada - we invited inquiries, preferably by email, or by calling us at: 416-573-6915. Most Charities we did gratis, and we always tried to accommodate requests for appearances for children. We remind you that over and above the direct expenses for maintaining Qadesh (food, vets, insurance, etc.) and $620.00 per month that we took personally to cover incidental expenses and our 'wages', the remainder we spent trying to raising the public's awareness as to the plight of many endangered species, particularly tigers, and to various international efforts to save the few tigers still surviving in the wild. We thank you for your interest in, and support of, our cause, and all the good your support accomplished. |
